Wowsers, we're at Thursday already! Not much left of the season now, but there's still some news to be happening, and we're bringing it all to you in our roundup.
Before we dive into the SAFC news from today, it's time we brought you our daily trivia. So for today, May the 10th, you'll find that David Main left the club and headed back to Scotland after becoming homesick after just two games for SAFC in 1911. And to think we mocked Craig Gardner earlier this year.
Anyway, that wasn't that interesting, so here's today's news...
Asamoah Gyan has moved to clarify his comments form the other day, saying now he has 'no problem' with Sunderland, it was us who didn't want him, but he thanks us for a lot anyway. I guess the move to the UAE was for footballing reasons only then? - CLICK HERE
After the pair scooped up the supporters awards earlier in the month, Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean have also added the official Player and Young Player Of The Year awards from the club - CLICK HERE
Top statty site, EPL Index, have made some interesting statistical comparisons between our season this year and last year. In short, we're conceding less, but also scoring less. However there's much more to it than that, so go have a read - CLICK HERE
There's another list over on Football Fan Cast (shock horror) and this week they're looking at regrettable transfers. Looking more at those who slipped through the net. On this list you'll find Seb Larsson, and the fact Arsenal allowed him to go on the cheap when they might well wish they still had him. Their loss is our gain I suppose, all that sort of thing - CLICK HERE
Looking ahead to this weekend's game, John O'Shea has been speaking to The Guardian, and has warned his former employers that they aren't in for an easy ride this week as we look to kill off their title hopes, and ourselves finish on a high note for the year - CLICK HERE
O'Shea has also criticised Roberto Mancini for labeling us as a bit of a soft touch and that Manchester United should beat us easily this weekend. I mean, you've got yourself quite a good team there Roberto, but remind us all how many points you took off us this season? Just the one? thought so - CLICK HERE
David Meyler faces a career crossroads. He stays he wants to stay, play and let his play prove he should be kept around, however Martin O'Neill, who accepts he's a nice enough fella, says he needs to play at some stage in his career, and we're pretty well stocked in the middle of the field - CLICK HERE
