Hey I heard you like the wild news.
Hey I heard you like the wild news.

Wednesday is here, the midway point, and in my own personal eyes the crappiest day of the week. It's just neither here nor there really is it? Anyway, welcome back to another Roker Roundup, all today's SAFC news a handy little basket for you.

Today is April the 4th, and on this day in 1987, Current reserve team coach Keith Bertshin was on the scoresheet as Sunderland threw away a two-goal lead at half time to draw 2-2 against WBA at The Hawthorns.

Back to today's times, here's all the news...

Stephane Sessegnon appears to be the focus of all the attention today, with noises that Arsenal are looking to 'ramp up their bid' for the 'unhappy' star. I'm still in two minds as to whether or not to believe any of this - CLICK HERE

Or if London doesn't tickle the pickle of the Beninese forward, perhaps he'll move back to PSG, who having sold him for £6m will obviously buy him back for £20m... Again, it's all a little "slow news day" - CLICK HERE

Meanwhile some Liverpool based rag makes the most hilarious comment on the whole Sessegnon debate. Liverpool should sign him for £8m! EIGHT MILLION. Of course, sure, we'll take Steven Gerrard off you for £2.50 and a bag of buttons. Because that's fair too - CLICK HERE

Meanwhile our other forwards, Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-Won will get chances in our remaining games according to Martin O'Neill as he looks to find out who will be in the plans for next season. Thankfully such great form has given us the ability to play about a bit without risk - CLICK HERE

Can a Newcastle fan ever want us to win? The Mag has some debate on the issue. The answer seems, in some cases, yes they can. How nice of them. I know they all love us more really - CLICK HERE

Football Fan Cast love a 'controversial' list, and have in their "Top 15 Players Who Are 'Wasting Their Talent' At Their Current Club" (and breathe) list a certain Connor Wickham. Seems just a tad harsh, and badly thought through, but give it a read if you've got a spare five minutes - CLICK HERE

Darlington manager Craig Liddle has been singing the praises of our own Jordan Pickford, who is currently on loan at the club. The England youth international has been very impressive, and despite a setback at the weekend, Liddle has reassured him he's a star in the making - CLICK HERE
