I can hear a newsquake up in here.

Time for another Roker Roundup. Our collection of the most readworthy Sunderland news and articles (done by other people) from today.

And today is April 17th 2012, and on this day in SAFC history, legendary fullback Joe Bolton made his debut for the club at home to Watford in a 5-0 win in 1972. Bolton played over 270 times for the club between 1972 and 1981 before moving down the A19 to Middlesbrough.

Back to today though, here's all the SAFC news that's been of note today...

According to several reports, we're lining up a move for Wolves' Scottish striker Steven Fletcher. He's someone who many fans seem to want, and would fit the fabled build of a "Martin O'Neill Type Player". With Wolves all but relegated, they could be ready to offload him - CLICK HERE

Not content with heading to the Midlands to snap up Fletcher, we're also being linked with WBA midfielder Keith Andrews, and Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar today as part of some sort of triple move - CLICK HERE

The Complete Record is an absolutely belting book about the club, and every single player who has played for us. It's being updated and revamped. Details of it are here - CLICK HERE

Stephane Sessegnon tells the Peterlee Mail that he, along with his fellow strikers at the club need to start doing more, scoring more goals and creating more chances as we try to end the season on a high note. This weekend against Aston Villa's fragile back line would be a good starting point - CLICK HERE

In celebrating 20 Years of the Premier League, the footballing body has announced a series of awards. Our own Craig Gordon is nominated for the best save of the last 20 years for his wonder save against Bolton Wanderers in the 2010-11 season - CLICK HERE

In a rare moment of goodness, former SAFC great Dave Watson went on TalkSport to talk about his life and career. Well worth a listen, so give it a few minutes of your time - CLICK HERE
