Sunderland Potentially Two Wins From Europe After FA Cup Draw

Those red and white ribbons could well be ours.
Those red and white ribbons could well be ours.

The draw for the FA Cup Semi-Finals at Wembley was made this afternoon following Liverpool's win over Stoke City, and it looks pretty good for us.

If we manage to conquer Everton in the quarter-final replay at the Stadium Of Light a week on Tuesday, we're off to Wembley to face an out of sorts Liverpool after they defeated Stoke City 2-1 this afternoon.

We've already played Liverpool twice this season, taking a solid point at Anfield and beating them at home 1-0 only the other week. Ourselves or Everton have been drawn as the away side in the tie.

They way things have panned out means that Chelsea are to play either Tottenham Hotspur or Bolton Wanderers in the other semi-final, and with both the London clubs looking to remain in the top four and claim a Champions League place, the loser of the FA Cup final would take a Europa League spot. Of course, both those sides are still perfectly beatable in their own right, and there's every chance we could be hoisting the trophy aloft come May 5th.

The FA Cup semi-finals will be played on April 14th and 15th at Wembley Stadium, and don't forget, you can win tickets to the semi-finals and final with the competition currently running with The FA, we've details on our site (CLICK HERE).

Whatever the outcome, this is a huge opportunity for the club.

The full draw for the FA Cup Semi-Finals is as follows...

Tottenham Hotspur or Bolton Wanderers v Chelsea
Liverpool v Sunderland or Everton
