International squads are starting to emerge for next week's round of friendlies, but Adam Johnson will not feature for England as they take on Sweden in Solna.
It's been clear to anyone who watches us on a regular basis that despite playing regularly, Johnson simply isn't at his peak and hasn't over the last month done enough to deserve a call up to Roy Hodgson's squad to play Sweden.
Seb Larsson however will represent Sunderland in the game after being selected by Erik Hamren, and should he feature will pick up a landmark 50th cap.
Simon Mignolet is also in the Belgium squad to to face Romania this week, and is expected to be given a rare start after falling behind Thibault Courtois, as Marc Wilmots looks to experiment a little and learn more about his star-studded squad.
