A small piece of news that may well go under the radar with the today's focus being firmly set on Steven Fletcher's Player of the Month award from the Premier League is that winger Billy Knott has joined Woking on an initial one month loan deal.
The nineteen year-old winger impressed whilst on loan with Wimbledon in the latter half of last season with a number of eye-catching appearances and grabbing three goals in his twenty appearances but has been unable to play his way into O'Neill's plans having returned to the North East.
The left-winger joined Sunderland having been released from Chelsea's youth setup. Left without a club but with a glowing reputation as a player with real promise Sunderland saw fit to take a punt on the free agent. However, still waiting to make his debut appearance for the first team, it would be fair to say that the lad from Canvey Island has been left in James McClean's wake since his emergence onto the scene.
Knott is eligible to potentially make his debut for Woking in their Blue Square Premier match at home to Cambridge United and the tenacious will no doubt be looking forward to some first team action and we wish him well.
