Joy Of Six

John 'The Rock' Mensah will be back in action against Congo and England next week.

Six SAFC players have been called up for senior international duty over the the forthcoming break.

The most notable/bizarre of these seems to be Marcos Angeleri, who despite only mustering around 70 or so minutes in an SAFC shirt this season, has been included in Sergio Batista's Argentina squad for the games against the USA in New Jersey on March 26th, and Costa Rica in San Jose on March 29th.

Another SAFC man who will be in the USA is Paraguayan midfielder Cristian Riveros. He'll link up with ex-SAFC man Paulo Da Silva as his country take on Mexico in Oakland, before heading to Tennesee to take on the USA.

Newly signed Ahmed Elmohamady has also received a call up by Egypt to play South Africa in an African Nations Cup qualifier.

Elsewhere the Ghanaian trio of Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan & John Mensah have also received call-ups. The Black Stars take on Congo in an African Nations Cup qualifier without the help of Gyan who serves a suspension, before traveling to England  to take on Fabio Capello's men at Wembley on March 29th.

All in all this makes 8 selected so far, with Jordan Henderson & Danny Welbeck in the England U21 set-up. Or even 9 if you wanna include academy goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in the England U17 team.

However many it is, here's hoping nobody comes back injured. Not even Marcos Angeleri. You never know, he may surprise us yet.

If you can't be arsed to watch them all, or simply can't bring yourself to be bothered any more with international football (I know the feeling) we'll have a little round-up on here, don't worry.
