Roker Riches - SAFC v Blackpool (H) Betting Preview

Sunderland lost v United, and so did I in the betting stakes. I was so confident as well. Although I did pick out United to win both halves at 11/8, there was no money on it, and thus I’m a massive loser.

Let’s hope Sunderland, and myself, get back to winning ways against Blackpool.

Despite the abysmal performance against United, I’m fairly confident against Blackpool. I think it’s the home advantage, I think we can beat anyone at home, especially with a vociferous crowd behind us.

The first bet I’ve noticed is one that simply can’t be ignored. Welbeck is on fire, and well rested, and when Hills have priced him up at Evens to score whenever, I’d stick large sums on that. As it is, I only have a fiver, so I’ll put 3 of it on that.

Confidence is getting the better of me, and of course chasing monies lost so far. 4-0 at 20/1? It’s not impossible I suppose? Surely Blackpool are due a stinker against someone? Scrap that... SAFC to win by 2 goals, that’s a bit more like it, 7/2... Here’s a pound Billy.

Finally, where to put that last pound? Well I’ve been quite conservative so far, so time for something a bit bigger. In my preview I backed SAFC for a 3-1 win, with Bent bagging the first. That’s a tasty 35/1.

The bets:

Welbeck to score any time @ EVS - £3

SAFC to win by 2 goals @ 7/2 - £1

Darren Bent scores 1st goal, SAFC win 3-1 double @ 35/1 - £1

Season Total: -£6.80

From the Blackpool side, if you’re so inclined...

**** DJ Campbell any time scorer @ 11/4

*** Blackpool to win @ 5/1

** Drawn 1st Half, Blackpool win 2nd Half @ 9/1

I can’t bring myself to bet on the opposition, as you’re well aware by now, but some of those do look a bit tasty I’ll admit.

Remember, I’m not professional, as you can tell from the season tally so far, so take any advice with a massive pinch of salt, and don’t spend what you can’t afford.

Take it easy, and enjoy the game!
