Injury Doubts

Well, such is the fast moving nature of the internet, as I wrote up the match preview, SAFC announce Gordon is a doubt and Gyan is 'expected to be out'.

If Gordon's out, thats no big problem really. Mignolet surprised everyone with his early season form, and I for one, would welcome him back. Craig (from Autoglass) Gordon hasn't been setting the world alight with since his comeback.

Gyan being out is a blow. He's a terrific player, however I'm reliably informed he was a bit of an injury magnet at previous club, Rennes. He's been sensational since he's started with 4 goals in 6 starts, which is a wonderful stat-line when you take into account his overall play has been equally impressive.

Steve Bruce however must be rubbing his hands, as he no longer has the dilemma of which two to chose from our three-headed monster of strikers. Bent & Welbeck will obviously get the nod.

I'm sure all SAFC fans like myself are praying this is a minor niggle for Asamoah Gyan, as we need him fit with all the games ahead, especially when we have zero to back up Bent & Welbeck as young Ryan Noble is out on loan, Healy is on loan too in addition to being completely shit.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see one of the many 'Jordans' to come through the Academy Of Light be sat on the bench in the next few weeks, be it Jordan Cook or Jordan Laidler.
