Sunderland were linked with a quadruple swoop on Chelsea yesterday, with Kurt Zouma, Victor Moses, Lewis Baker and Andreas Christensen all linked to the club but according to the father of Christensen, a move to Sunderland is news to him;
Sunderland? It is news to me. I've not heard of this story.
I don't think Andreas is going to Sunderland next season, it is certainly not my feeling right now.
Sten Christensen then went on to explain that his son is expected to remain at Chelsea for the coming season and has yet to speak to the Londoners about a possible loan move;
I have not talked to the Club about Andreas being loaned out.
At the moment, the plan is that he plays at Chelsea when pre-season starts after the summer break, but things can always happen quickly in this business.
So it looks unlikely that the 18-year-old defender will be moving to the Stadium of Light but with Sunderland chasing Ashley Williams, Kurt Zouma and hoping for a return for Santiago Vergini, losing out on another another central defender should not be seen as too big of a blow.
