Seb Larsson could be set for a summer move to Turkey with Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Bursaspor all reportedly making contact with the player's representatives.
The Swede looks pretty certain to end his three year stay on Wearside regardless of Sunderland's fate this season, and though there has also reportedly been interest from the Bundesliga, the lure of Champions League football may prove to great for the 28-year-old to resist.
Larsson is often a polarizing figure amongst Sunderland fans, though not really in a traditional sense. There is no real established pro-Larsson and anti-Larsson camps. Instead, people seem to change their opinion on him almost on a weekly basis. We do the same in truth.
That is kind of what is wrong with this squad, though. There are just too many who you know can make good contributions yet just seem to swing wildly between the extremes from one week to the next. They drive you bloody crackers.
I suspect that, as such, Larsson's legacy here is directly linked to Sunderland's remaining four Premier League games. If we survive, he'll leave with a lot of good wishes. As always with Sunderland, that's a big 'if'.
