Sunderland Players Past & Present React On Twitter To Derby Victory

Nigel Roddis

Sunderland's players couldn't hide their delight at today's 3-0 win over Newcastle as they took to the social networks to show how much it meant.

Sunderland players haven't exactly covered themselves in glory on social networks such as Twitter and Instagram over the past few years, but today it makes it worthwhile following them.

Several Sunderland players provided some awesome pictures and reactions, so here's the best of them;

Jozy Altidore gets our ball rolling as he celebrates with goalscorer Jack Colback;

Even though he's away on loan, Alfred N'Diaye seems to be following the lads just like you and me;

The club themselves shared a nice picture of Vito Mannone reminding us of the score;

From one great 'keeper to another;

And the club also shared a great picture of Gus Poyet saluting the fans who were forced to stay behind after the final whistle;

Ex-Sunderland left-back Micky Gray seemed to lose control of his fingers when typing;

Meanwhile the incumbent left-back Marcos Alonso took to his Instagram account to share his joy;

Youth teamer Rees Greenwood told us how it is;

Jody Craddock was in the stands with Darren Holloway and Michael Proctor. They know the score;

And that's what we can find at the moment, but there's sure to be more so get involved and support the lads.
