Reports: Prem Rivals Bid For Sessegnon

Reports this morning of West Bromwich Albion's interest in Stephane Sessegnon have been ramped up after further reports that a £6m bid has been launched for his services by The Baggies.

The reports of an actual bid seem to stem however from the Daily Mail, so let's not get too carried away just yet.

The fee would eclipse their club record of £4.9m paid to Reading for Shane Long as they look to fend off interest from Qatari side El Jaish, however Aston Villa are also being credited with an interest although nothing substantial seems to be in that at this stage.

At the moment it very much looks like a straight battle for Sessegnon with El Jaish, where he can see out his years earning a bucket-load in an easy league, or take another crack at the Premier League with Steve Clarke's West Bromwich Albion.

We still think that El Jaish will make the move though as they have held the interest for the longest, and reports this morning from Doha claimed that he was still very much the top target for the Army side.
