Ji Dong-Won Speaks About Future, Denies Rumours

As reported earlier on today, Ji Dong Won is alive and well in Paju ahead of Korea Republic's games against Haiti and Croatia this weekend, where he denied he was going to go to Hamburg.

Finally, we have some quotes from the man himself on his future;

I am not joining Hamburger SV. I only found out about the report after arriving home.

I just played a game and flew here. I don't know what (the report of an impending medical test) was all about.

It was also mentioned in the report that he as spoken to Ki Seung-Yong whilst on international duty and has stated he is looking forward to playing with his international teammate at Sunderland.

The likelihood of Ji leaving the club in this window now appear to have narrowed down to absolutely zero, so we can move on from this particular rumour no matter how you feel about it, and look towards who Sunderland might bring in.
