Might as well just tie this one off now as it appears any even remote interest in Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella has ended, with a move to West Ham United seeming his most likely destination.
Widespread reports this morning claim that he is in London ready to complete a loan move, however it was Sunderland who were initially linked with his services nearly three weeks ago.
Should we be looking to replace Stephane Sessegnon, Quagliarella would have been a perfect option despite his age as he continues to produce moments of magic for the Turin giants.
In the initial reports Sunderland were also credited with an outlandish link to Alessandro Matri, although that always seemed even more unlikely and he's now signed for Milan.
Quagliarella's move to West Ham hasn't been confirmed yet, but does seem incredibly likely given the level of reporting and the names involved in doing so having connections at both Juventus and the Hammers.
A name we can effectively rule out as of now, barring an incredibly unlikely turn of events.
