So far for Di Canio this season, the results have not been as expected. He completely reformed the squad and has focused a great deal on improving fitness. However, his new signings appear to be unable to work together. Now I may just be very impatient but these players are still yet to gel, despite most of the new signings joining before Sunderland's pre-season. Now if these players need time to adapt that's fine, but Di Canio's method needs to be analysed; we were being dominated by Southampton when we were 1-0 up and he decides to bring on 3 offensive players. I've been unimpressed by Di Canio's "Revolution" and despite bringing in fresh faces we still, unfortunately, have some dreadful players (Ji, Bardsley, Cuellar). Di Canio sold our best player (Mignolet) and did not adequately replace him. Our defence is also questionable with our only convincing performers coming in the form of Diakite and Colback. After matches, he is never at fault and cites the players as the reason for poor performances. Di Canio needs to inspire these players after losses instead of blaming them. Basically, needs to start winning and tweak our useless defenders to "Stop being crap" mode. Sunderland appear to be replicating the QPR of last season where we have brought in several new players who can't mesh. Let's hope we start putting in some solid performances.
