Although it is a loan deal and they tend to cause plenty of sighs, it is more of a 'try before you buy' kind of a loan rather than the 'please allow us to develop a player for your benefit' Danny Rose kind of loan.
Is he any good? We don't know. This time last week we hadn't heard of him and there is no point in trying to claim otherwise.
But we know he is a right back, and with the new season a matter of days away and Craig Gardner suspended for the opener, it's nice to have a specialist alternative at the very least. Let's hope he can hit the ground running.
