Wise Men Say Podcast: Pre-Season Episode 1

Michael Regan

Finally, something worth listening to as the lads from Wise Men Say return with another belting podcast to help you through the preseason, and abundance of transfers and rumours.

Oh to be back recording the podcasts again.

Gareth and I toyed with the idea of doing a pre-season podcast or whether to allow people to wait and suffer for the summer without their fix. The new scouting system, transfer policy and sheer amount of newsworthy subjects attached to each of those dictated that we simply had to do one. And we had a blast.

Roker Report has worked overtime in bringing you all some mighty fine scouting reports on any relatively unknown players on the continent, any who have the remotest of credible links with Sunderland and we can use that knowledge as a platform to discuss where and when they will feature in our new look side. ESPN writer Kristan Heneage joined us to offer even more clarity on the attributes of each of the new Black Cats and further discuss the new Sunderland way of doing things. Are we on the verge of creating something special? Something that will be looked on in years as the "Sunderland model"? There's negative and positive connotations to that last sentence and we can't forget that what we're doing at present carries a huge element of risk. Meh.

There'll be more info shortly on the live podcast we'll be bringing you as the door of league campaign begins to open, so watch this space. And the space on the podcast twitter feed. And any space you like really, it's a free country.
