1. WIN - not even a draw... against City!
A vital win. A solid performance. A clean sheet. Against (almost very) good opposition. Good defensive display was always going to be needed against a very useful attacking duo from City. Excellent stuff.
It appears that Bardsley IS actually trying to earn some respect. Good on him! Keep up the good work. (You are paid handsomely for it, after all). It helps that Poyet pointed him in the right direction and remembered to turn him round after half time. Bardsley is well on the way to rehabilitation.
3. Good cup run.
So far. Chelsea next... Should be fun. No point doing a Wigan though... So win that AND stay up!
Poyet does appear to have good tactics and he's not really arsed about 'less exciting' games. Winning is all important. The manner of this win - not conceeding - is the way ahead for the Premiership. The experience of Brown and Bardsley with the attitude of O'Shea and the hunger of Celuska do appear to be a strong line up.
Congratulations all round. Hard to see Sunderland going down on such a display. And plenty more matches to go.
