Talking Tactics: Swansea City (A)

Tom Dulat

Gus Poyet's first game in charge was meant to mark a fresh dawn for Sunderland AFC - instead, it may well have set in motion an even greater nightmare. 4-0 was the eventual margin of the Swans' victory, with Poyet's philosophy barely having chance to take root in a set of players who effectively gave up after 45 minutes.

Feature rendered irrelevant. There's little point discussing tactical nuances when the players on the pitch are a spineless, unprofessional, cowardly ensemble of "footballers".
