The Roker Roundup: March 26th 2012 - Tounkara On The Way Out

Open the door, get on the floor, everybody do the news-a-saur.

Ahoy there me hearties, welcome back to The Roker Roundup. Your nightly source of SAFC news. Or at least the part that's worth reading anyway.

Before we find out what's been happening today, here's what happened on this day in history. In 1937, Sunderland beat Wolves 6-2 at Roker Park, but perhaps the most notable aspect of the game was the fact that Charlie Thompson was not in the Sunderland line-up. Prior to this game, Thompson had made 147 consecutive appearances for Sunderland - to this day a club record.

As for the more present day though, let's find out what's been happening...

Stephane Sessegnon has vowed to control his temper in the future, after admitting that sitting out recently through suspension really got on his nerves. Good boy. Now sign a long-term contract! - CLICK HERE

Ryan Noble found the net for Hartlepool United on his loan debut, grabbing the winner in the side's 1-0 win away at Yeovil Town. A mini-match report of sorts is here - CLICK HERE

Oumare Tounkara, who recently joined Oldham Athletic on loan, has told the Latics official website that he expects to leave Sunderland in the summer - CLICK HERE

Lee Cattermole's court case for battering up some cars (ALLEGEDLY) has been moved to April the 16th of this year, for those who are following the story - CLICK HERE
